The Rocky Mountaineers Motorcycle Club of Colorado has evolved considerably since it began in 1968. Our membership has changed too. Some members have developed other interests, some have moved away, many have grown frail, and many have passed on.

The club has lost a lot of members over the years, unfortunately we haven't had much success attracting and retaining new and younger members. It breaks our collective hearts to admit we simply don't have the people power to hold the annual Cruise Against AIDS this year.

We thank everyone who participated in the annual Cruise Against AIDS over its many years and made it so successful. We hope to be able to resume the Cruise sometime in the future and look forward to seeing you again then. In the mean time, remember to keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.

The Rocky Mountaineers M.C. in tandem with
the Denver Dykes on Bikes invite you to the
25th Annual Cruise Against AIDS!
Sunday, July 25th, 2010

We’ve lost many family members, friends and loved ones to AIDS over the past 29 years of this epidemic. Cruise Against AIDS, now in its twenty fifth year, is one of Colorado AIDS Project’s oldest fundraisers. In addition to standing the test of time, Cruise Against AIDS has maintained its community-based roots, continuing to be managed, organized and produced, not by Colorado AIDS Project, but by community organizations on CAP’s behalf.

On Sunday, July 25th, people from throughout the Denver metro area will come together for the Cruise Against AIDS, a day-long event that calls all bikers, scooters and motorists to the road in support of Colorado AIDS Project’s award-winning Food Bank. This year, we are please to expand our recipient list to include partner organization, Horizon House.

Cruise and Roast!

The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with Registration and Continental Breakfast at Charlie’s Denver, 900 E. Colfax. (Please remember to show up with a full tank of gas and an empty bladder!) The Cruise to the new picnic location is from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and will include games and events again at the new run site.

The Cruise has always been a time to catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances, so we hope to see you there. You do not need to be on a motorcycle to participate, all vehicles are welcome!

Make Your Dollars Cruise Further!

All cruisers are asked to bring a minimum donation of $30 to participate ($75.00 for event T-shirt), but are encouraged to obtain pledges of additional financial support from friends and family. Print the pledge form and raise funds to support your attendance at this event. As usual, there will be great prize packages for the top fundraisers. Online event registration at www.ColoradoAIDSProject.org/cruise. Please collect all money pledged before the day of the Cruise and bring the total amount with you to the registration table at Charlie’s on the morning of the Cruise. If you use the online event registration we will have your name at the check-in table. If you have not collected the minimum of $30 in pledges, you will need to pay the $30 registration fee, which includes breakfast and BBQ lunch. Once you pay the registration fee, you will receive a Cruise Against AIDS commemorative pin, which is your ticket to the day’s events.
